Psychology – The Balance of Power
Have you ever wondered about the nature of our behaviour? It is quite interesting. Just this morning while taking a walk I came up with a theory that may already exist but I might have rekindled it.
It’s about me having both yin and yang and how they feature in my life. As we all know that we have one personality or say one quality that dominates us and our life.
My say is that the other exists too, and is visible in all the other activities that we do and in the habits that we pick up.
Let’s take my example; I am soft, by nature and quite a harmless creature. Likewise it shows in my work, as in I am attentive, in other words patient, relaxed, and time taking to achieve an excessive level of perfection in whatever I do.
On the other side, I like to watch violent cinema. Action movies, Bruce Lee being my Guru, especially movies that use physical fights, sword fights, etc. even I have interest to learn martial arts and did manage to take time off to learn a bit and hey I love boxing too. Now where does all this lead to?
But then again my hobbies include nature photography. And I like to see the wildlife not in zoos but free in their natural habitat. I work towards this too, all goody-goody. Hey that does not mean I am soft, does it? I like endure physically, taking the toughest trek routes, wish to encounter the rulers of the wild and even believe that I can escape unscathed. But yes without hurting the other guy too.
It can get very complex. I can come up with umpteen such examples. My purpose was to make your conscious self be aware of the force and make you see and analyse the role it plays in your life, by illustrating from my life.
“Thinking no longer means anymore than checking at each moment whether one can indeed think.”
and another…
“Horror is beyond the reach of psychology.”
….. Theodor Adorno
